The levels and its work areas - 2006/06/01 14:36 Dear colleagues,

Finally we are online! Welcome you all to our first contact via online-platform!
I am looking forward to communicate our ideas, suggestions and work results here.
Many thanks to our web-site mid-wife Graham and his helpers.

The basic idea is to start with the levels (macro, meso and micro) as an entrance page out of several reasons:

- not all levels are equally important for all user groups;
- pracitioners usually don't want to read too much but rather go through those sections which are important for them;
- not all dimensions are of equal importance for each level;
- to keep it user friendly and easy to handle.

Therefore I would like to suggest the following strucure:

1. a potential user first decides to choose a level (macro, meso or micro) 2. from there he or she gets to the dimensions which are of relevance for this level 3. clicking on a dimension leads to approximately five to ten key questions or key issues (pictures etc.)4. clicking again on an key issue leads to possible answers, good practice examples or other helpful ideas etc.

In the individual level and in the menue under work areas you will find our dimensions/work areas where you can contribute your work results. But please feel free to contribute to the structural and institutional, too.

I honestly hope you don't mind that I filled into the institutional and structural level (as a suggestion)those work areas that were developed during the project work on the old tool "QSED". I think it helps us to build upon them and safes us a lot of work while at the same time we can concentrate on the individual level where practitioners usually want to go to.

Further: The work area "work conditions" is progressing in German and soon will be completely availabe in English, too, and soon you will also be albe to have a look at good practise examples...

Now I think we have the basis to start working in our dimensions/work areas. The project managers should contact their team and go on from here.

Please let me know what you think and how you would like to progress.

Looking forward chatting with you...

Many Greetings from Flensburg
Ira
